# Nexus

> Nexus is an AI workforce platform: you hand out work in plain words, and AI agents do it under budgets, approval gates and an audit trail you control, on a private company brain built from your own files.

What makes it different:

- **Budgets checked before the spend.** Every agent has a monthly budget. It is checked in the execution path before a burst of work starts, not reported on an invoice afterwards.
- **Approval gates.** You choose which actions need a human yes. Output that crosses a gate is held until someone signs off.
- **Audit trail.** Every change an agent makes is recorded, so you can show what happened, who approved it and what it cost.
- **A private company brain.** Nexus indexes files already on your hardware into a shared memory every agent works from. Your files and your index never leave the machine; prompts still go to the model provider you use.
- **Take the wheel mid-run.** A person can join a live agent session and take over in the middle of a task, then hand it back.
- **Hires the agents you already pay for.** Nexus can run coding agents such as Claude Code and Codex as staff under the same budgets and approvals, instead of competing with them.

Pricing: Nexus has a free plan that never expires, with daily and monthly usage limits and access to the Mercury model. Paid plans (Pro Lite day pass, Pro, Ultra) raise the limits and unlock more models; Enterprise is priced on request. Current prices are on https://www.nexusbuild.in/pricing.

Current limits: Company-brain search matches words, not meaning, today. PDF and Office files are not indexed automatically yet. Multiplayer company brain (teams and agents sharing one live memory) is the next version, not shipped.
